Hijabi Queens is a newly released NFT collection that features over 10,000 unique hijabi avatars. These nifty NFT’s allow owners access to VIP access to the Hijabi Queens club–basically an owners-only social circle.

You might be confused–what is an NFT, and why are they wearing hijabs? It’s a little complicated, but I’ll explain.

What’s an NFT?

NFT stands for non-fungible token. An NFT is essentially a digital item with a unique virtual ID attached to it. An NFT can be anything digital, but they’re most often used for buying and selling digital music and artwork.  Some consider NFTs to be the future of digital fine-art collecting.

So, NFTs are a digital photo tied to a unique ID, that acts as a receipt of ownership. Think about it like this: there are millions of Qura’ans in the world owned by different people. We all own the same book, but each book has a unique ID from the publisher that identifies each unique copy.

Are NFTs Worth Anything?

It depends. NFTs are tied to digital block-chain currencies. Most are tied to a digital coin called Etherium.
