If the Prophet Was Among Us …
Did you ever question yourself, what would life be if our beloved Prophet Mohammad ‘peace be upon him’ was among us today?
One of the greatest missions of the Messenger of Allah ‘peace be upon him’ is the refinement of morals, as it is the source of goodness for this nation. This was mentioned in both the Holy Quran and Sunnah.
In the Quran:
whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day, and who remembers Allah often” (Surah Al Ahzab, Verse 21)
In the Sunnah:
"I was sent to accomplish good character" (Musnad Ahmad)
Prophet Mohammad ‘peace be upon him’ mentioned us on many occasions. By us I mean, the Muslims of 2021. The people who came after his death and those who will come till the last day on earth, those who believe in him and his religion. From his love and mercy upon his nation, and not just the people who were existing on the time he was on earth, our beloved prophet ‘peace be upon him’ kept us the best for the day of resurrection, to ensure all his Ummah (those who truly believed in Allah), will be gathered with him in Paradise.
(that will not be rejected) with which he appeals to Allah, and I want to keep
such an invocation for interceding for my followers in the Hereafter" (Al Bukhari)
He also talked about the people who come after him and love him for real:

Today, some people who profess to be followers of the Prophet ‘peace be upon him’ are portraying a negative image of the religion through their false or extreme actions that do not relate to our prophet in any way. They have deviated from the path of mercy and kindness that the prophet called upon.
It might be very difficult to abide by all the rules of Islam in our era now, especially with all the oppression that the Muslims are facing around the world and the misconceptions falling on them. So, with all the temptations of life and all the misconceptions that our religion is facing, we might be of those people who the prophet ‘peace be upon him” said about them this hadith:
come upon the people a time in which the one who is patient upon his religion
will be like the one holding onto a burning ember” (At Tirmidhi)
If the Prophet was among us today, how would our community be like? Would he be proud of our actions and behaviors?
Are we really following him in our daily life and educating our children enough about his mercy and good character?
If he was to live in one of our cities nowadays, in which there is no obscene, would he find any?
If we imagined that the Prophet ‘peace be upon him’ was among us now, he would recommend us to revert to the Holy Book and Sunnah in all our life matters, because we would have not reached major problems in our society, if we did not deviate from the right path of Allah and his prophet. We would find him telling us: Be loving, get back in harmony and establish social justice among you. Be like one body, since we are all one nation, as the Holy Qur’an called us to cooperate in righteousness and piety and not to cooperate in sin and aggression. He would remind us that we should excuse each other, and he would teach us how to love and consider the circumstances of others.
If he ‘peace be upon him’ was among us, he would have taught us to love our land like he loved Makkah and Madinah. He would command us to prepare strength and self-reliance so that the nation would be immune from its enemies.
We may not question our application of the Sunnah, because we underestimated the ordinances in the first place! Yet, if we want to straighten the road for the Ummah, we shall straighten our behaviors and manners. In fact, Prophet Mohammad ‘peace be upon him’ is with us through his guidance and directives. His vibes are present in all the Sunnah acts that we learn and perceive, and we can sense his presence in all our life actions by applying his Sunnah and practicing his acts. We must also resurrect the sunnah by demonstrating our religion and displaying kindness and mercy.
How could we not follow his actions when he considers us his brothers?!
Oh dwellers of abode of the believers! We, if Allah wills, will follow you. I wish we see my brothers.
" The Companions said, "Oh Messenger of Allah! Aren’t we your brothers?" He (ﷺ) said, "You are my
Companions, but my brothers are those who have not come into the world yet." They said:
"Oh Messenger of Allah! How will you recognize those of your Ummah who are not born yet?"
He (ﷺ) said, "Say if a man has white-footed horses with white foreheads among horses
which are pure black, will he not recognize his own horses?" They said; "Certainly,
Oh Messenger of Allah!" He (ﷺ) said, "They (my followers) will come with bright faces
and white limbs because of Wudu'; and I will arrive at the Haud (Al-Kawthar) ahead of them"
(Muslim)
From the generosity of Allah and his miracles, our prophet ‘peace b upon him’ replies the salutation when we send it to him on Fridays, and knows each person who sends greetings upon him through the angels on the rest of the week!
We might not have got the opportunity to meet our beloved Prophet in this life, but we ask Allah to gather us with him in the highest levels of Jannah, to recite the Quran together and share the beautiful stories of the Prophet and Sahaba. Let us make him proud of us, let us connect better to his beautiful religion, and get back on the right path before time is over!
🌹 Oh Allah grants us with a visit to the Prophet in Madinah, bless us to see him in the dream and grant us his Shafa’a (intercession) on the day of judgment. 🌹
